Summer Dance Camps
Dance Camps run for 4 consecutive days each week offered and cover at least 1- 2 dance forms in a 30 to 60 minute block each day. Multiple camps are offered during the months of July and August and many different time slots will be available.
The Summer dance camps are designed to allow students to try a new dance form with minimal commitment, or to allow a student to brush up on their technique before the Fall sessions start. The Dance Camps are also an excellent tool in assisting Allison in placing students for the Fall Session classes.
Some unique classes offered:
Turns and Leaps- Learn the more difficult turns, jumps and leaps.
Choreography- Learn the elements of choreography and how to put a dance together.
Musical Theatre- Learn steps from broadway shows.
Company Intensive- Learn what it's like to be on one of the Companies. Learn at a fast pace, learn the Company warm up and also a section of a Mini-Junior-or Senior Co. piece. (This has no bearing on persons selected for the Fall Companies) Appropriate for ages 8-19.
Other classes offered:
Ballet Barre • Jazz • Hip Hop • Lyrical • Tap • Pre-Ballet • Pre-Jazz • Creative Movement
(Payment and a signed contract is required before the Camps start.)

Fall Sessions
Fall sessions run from September to June. Registration is typically around the middle of August. Watch for postcards and signs!
Class Duration:
Classes are typically 30-45 minutes long, meeting once per week.
Registration Fee:
There is a non-refundable $10 registration fee due when you sign up for classes. This fee is per account.
Class Pricing:
The Newton Dance Company has a flat fee per month for classes. This fee is based on the number of classes each student is taking and how many students are from the same household. Here is a breakdown of the costs:
1 student, 1 class: $33/month
each additional class or student in the same household: $27/month
Some examples:
1 student, 1 class = $33/month
1 student, 2 classes = $60/month ($33 for the first class, $27 for the second class)
2 students, 1 class each = $60/month ($33 for the first student, $27 for the second)
2 students, 2 classes each = $114/month ($33 for the first student, $27 for the first student's second class, $27 for the second student, and $27 for the second student's second class)
All other combinations follow this same pattern.
The fees are due the first week of each month. Late fees are assessed on any balances unpaid after the 12th of each month and are strictly enforced.
Credits and Make-ups:
The rates listed here apply for each month from September to May. June's payment amount will be adjusted based on any credits accrued as a result of cancellations by Newton Dance Company (due to weather or other reasons). Credit can not be accrued for missed classes due to absences. Two make-ups are allowed per student per session (excluding the months of September, May and June) at the request of the student, but at the discretion of The Newton Dance Company.
Contract:
The topics listed here, among others, are detailed in the Newton Dance Company contract. A signed contract must be on file with The Newton Dance Company for each account/household prior to instruction. Click the following link to download the contract.
